Residential Buildings in Hanover-Langenhagen
The interior wall surfaces were formed so smoothly that they only required finishing by a painter. Exterior walls were constructed of Preobas-coated Siporex wall panels, 1.25 m and 1.50 m wide, respectively. The reinforced concrete walls were clad with 15 cm thick Siporex. Non-load-bearing exterior walls consisted of 20 cm thick Siporex panels; these were anchored to the reinforced concrete structure (a first for horizontal installation) at intervals of only 8.25 m. The six panels in between were simply glued and anchored to each other. Black joint sealing strips were glued into the externally visible horizontal and vertical joints during the installation of the individual Siporex panels.
