A modern DIY store concept was realized on a total area of 14,000 square metres, offering a product range from basic construction materials and finishing supplies to home improvement and hobby materials. The site was divided according to requirements into an open-air display area, open storage, roof storage, indoor storage, and a combined showroom, sales, and office building. There are also parking spaces for employees and customers, as well as an on-site vehicle repair shop with a gas station. Approximately 6,500 square metres of the total available area are constructed using a glulam timber frame in the "Hetzer" style. Only in the two-storey section of the combined showroom, sales, and office building was a deviation from the pure timber construction necessary for structural reasons. In this case, two opposing, inclined truss systems at different heights were inserted into slotted reinforced concrete columns and bolted together.
