Geschwister-Scholl Comprehensive School Mannheim-Vogelstang

The Geschwister-Scholl-Hauptschule (secondary school) in Mannheim-Vogelstang, commissioned in 1965 by the Mannheim Municipal Building Authority and planned in cooperation with the housing association Neue Heimat, is the first phase of a comprehensive school that was originally intended to combine primary and secondary schools. In a later phase, two school buildings of the same type are planned for the northeast and southeast of the residential area. Following a revised school plan and a change in the educational concept, two primary schools are planned for these areas, while the secondary school is later to merge with a Gymnasium (grammar school) and a Realschule (intermediate school) to form a comprehensive school.
