Apartment Buildings in Berlin-Grunewald

This building complex was erected on the edge of the Grunewald forest in a residential area consisting primarily of detached villas, adjoining and harmonizing with a larger group of buildings designed by the same architect (see the publication in "Detail" 6/68, pp. 1173 ff). Construction was carried out using masonry; the exterior walls were clad with brick slips. Before the cladding was applied, the entire surface was covered with a strong wire mesh and primed with a cement mixture. This method has proven successful. The drawings show the connections at the windows.
