Weggishaus in Lucerne

The materials chosen for the facade of this new commercial building near Lucerne's old town were limited to the triad of concrete, copper, and oak: The oak window and parapet elements of the office floors are clad with copper. Although these copper elements were left untreated, a natural patina with attractive irregularities developed on the surface after only a short time. The penthouse level is also clad in copper. The white concrete surfaces of the end faces create a striking contrast to the warm brown copper surfaces.
