"Forum Steglitz", Shopping Centre at Walther-Schreiber-Platz, Berlin-Steglitz
The commercial section of the building and the 5th floor are constructed as a steel frame composite structure with concrete slab ceilings, while the parking section is made of reinforced concrete. Column foundations are individual footings measuring 3 x 3 x 1 m, and walls have strip foundations. Service towers from the 2nd basement level to the 5th floor are constructed of cast-in-place concrete. The floor slab consists of 15 cm of reinforced concrete for a 1000 kg live load. The columns in the commercial section, from IPB 500 to IPB 180 (on the top floor), are encased in fire-resistant material.
