Design concept: The floor plan and the layout of the expansion joints allowed the new building to be constructed in two phases without significantly disrupting school operations. The school's centerpiece is the tent-like, sunken-level assembly hall, which also serves as a break room and for assemblies. The stage can be separated from the break hall by sliding walls and used as a multi-purpose room. The classrooms (groups of three classes each) are accessible via partially glazed corridors. Eight classrooms are designed so that removing one partition wall in each can create four large classrooms.
