Prefabricated Residential High-rises in Hamburg
General: The project comprises 21 buildings with a total of 1,061 apartments in two high-rise blocks. Building section A consists of two building types – three-unit and seven-unit – while building section B consists only of three-unit buildings. The number of stories in the buildings ranges from six to 21 residential floors. Since the project fell under the guidelines for social housing, the specified cost limit had to be strictly adhered to. This was achieved by using very few different types of prefabricated components, despite the significant differentiation of the building structures, thus keeping the formwork costs low. This required close collaboration between the architectural firm and the construction companies. - Foundations: Foundations as strip footings or slabs according to structural requirements; basement walls in cast-in-place concrete.
