Residential Complex "Tannenzapfen" in Goslar
Location and building site: The undivided, north-facing meadowland, with a 20-metre elevation difference, is situated within a protected landscape area, offering expansive views to the north and northeast towards the Harz foothills. The buildings were designed to conform to the slope both lengthwise and crosswise. Living spaces were oriented to the south while preserving the views to the north. A high degree of land utilization was desired. The overall complex was divided into an apartment building complex with 14 units and a terraced house complex with four units. The apartment balconies were designed to be out of sight of the terraced houses.
