Residential Building in Bad Honnef
The house stands freely on all sides. It is 80 cm above ground level, allowing one to crawl underneath (the underside, like the walls, is clad with fibre cement panels). In addition to the rooms shown in the floor plan, the building can easily be extended; an additional room can be inserted into the living room for an extra cost of approximately 3500 DM. The internal layout can also be easily altered, as the partition walls and ceilings can be easily removed. At the owner's request, the living room features an open fireplace constructed of exposed concrete.
