Standard Type of an Open Parking Garage

The load-bearing steel structure consists of the ceiling beams, the external and internal columns, and the ramp girders. Ceiling beams and columns are spaced 2.50 m apart, meaning that each ceiling beam transfers its loads directly to the ground via its support, without needing to use intermediate beams. The ceiling consists of prefabricated concrete slabs, 2.50 m wide, which form a structural bond with the steel beams. This bond is achieved through interlocking edges of the concrete slabs, into which shear studs welded to the upper flange of the ceiling beams engage.
