Italian Pavilion at the International Trade Fair in Johannesburg/South Africa
Building and spatial program: The building serves the Italian companies participating in the Johannesburg trade fair as a platform for presenting their products and services, which are highly diverse in terms of type and size. Large, flexibly divisible and subdividable spaces were required. The site was a steeply sloping area bordered by roads on all four sides, previously occupied by older pavilion structures; these were demolished to maximize the use of the site.
