Swimming Facility in Corbeil/France
Spatial and construction program: This building complex comprises four pools covered by a common roof: a paddling and training pool, a small swimming pool, a competition pool, and a diving pool. In addition, there is a large, heated outdoor pool measuring 50 metres in length. Construction: The basement, which houses all the technical equipment, was constructed of reinforced concrete. A fixed truss with a span of 35 metres rests on concrete columns; its trusses consist of two asymmetrically bolted, glued laminated timber beams. The roof is covered with slate on prefabricated wooden panels.
