EVD Construction of the Rollei Plant in Braunschweig
Building structure: The building is 32.30 m long, 18.70 m wide, and 7.60 m high above ground level. It has a basement, a ground floor, and an upper floor (fixed point in the adjoining existing building). The centre-to-centre spacing in both directions is 1.70 m. Construction: Steel frame with reinforced concrete slabs, stabilized in both directions by frame action. The reinforced concrete floor slabs cantilever outwards by 0.90 m. All load-bearing steel components are encased in gypsum plaster. Curtain wall: Total area of the suspended exterior wall: 540 sq m. Reflecting the different floor uses, the ground floor features a ribbon window facade, while the upper floor has a punched window facade.
