Canteen Construction in Basel
Since the supporting columns are not located in the plane of the facade, the window frames were not anchored vertically. The self-supporting metal structure was to be constructed from fully insulated profiles. The window wall units consist of: a narrow sill panel with inset panels (U-value 0.9); an internal aluminium sill cover; fixed glazing with integrated boxes for the external venetian blinds and the internal lighting and curtain tracks. The lintels are made of insulating panels and clad externally with Grina sheet metal.
