Holen Residential Area near Bern
On an extremely efficiently utilized south-facing slope, 79 residential units were built, comprising 33 larger and 41 smaller single-family terraced houses (including some studio apartments) on plots ranging from 200 to 230 square metres. The staggered heights of the buildings allow all houses unobstructed views to the south over the grassy roofs of the lower-lying rows. Enclosed gardens and loggias provide each family with an intimate living space.
