Production Hall for Ceramic Products in Chateauroux
A structure with a relatively large span was required to house the eight large kilns and the 70 x 95 m drying chambers. The structure (construction time six months) consists of mushroom-shaped reinforced concrete elements with a diameter of 20 x 20 m. Each element thus covers an area of 400 m². A network of skylights runs between the mushroom elements. The ventilation ducts are located along the outer edge of the elements.
