College Housing in Cambridge
The plan for this college is based on the idea of an inner courtyard and a stepped arrangement of small groups of rooms – a system that allows for the subdivision of the approximately 100 shared living spaces, while simultaneously centralizing them through the courtyard and simplifying future expansion. The courtyard is located at the level of the first floor. Below it are the common rooms and almost all storage and service areas. The rooms surrounding the courtyard face southwest and east.
