German Embassy in Madrid
The gently sloping plot of land, located on Madrid's main thoroughfare, the "Castellana," in the northeast of the city, is surrounded by aristocratic residences, rental buildings belonging to foreign missions, and upscale apartment buildings. The office building (running north-south) has a basement and three upper floors. The offices are located on the west side. The residence is positioned in the northwest corner of the plot, formed by the office building and the adjacent developed property. This also created a greenbelt approximately 35 metres wide, separating it from the streets.
