New National Gallery in Berlin

Construction management and local site supervision: The Senator for Construction and Housing, Berlin. The new National Gallery is part of the new West Berlin cultural centre at Kemperplatz, south of the Tiergarten. The two existing buildings of the new centre are St. Matthew's Church, built in 1845/46 by Stüler, and the Philharmonie by Scharoun. Two further buildings are in the planning stages: the State Library and a museum complex for five different collections.
