The development of the concrete-paved bus platform had to accommodate various purposes: a magazine rack, a snack bar, waiting areas, and staff rooms. Steel-framed pavilions on a uniform grid were adapted to these needs, fitted with glazing or foam-glass insulated elements as required. The central area of the platform, containing the barriers and entrances to the subway, is illuminated by a skylight with puttyless glazing. A concrete roof provides weather protection.
