Apartment Buildings near Sydney
The various residential building groups depicted on pages 1186 to 1170 were similarly designed and constructed. The level plot of the block shown here lies on a rocky slope, approximately 7 metres below the street; from its main facade (Figure 3) one has a view of a park on the harbor bay. Access is at the rear of the building (Figure 4). Vertical connections are provided by a freestanding stair and elevator tower as well as by an external staircase on the opposite side of the building; access to the gallery walkways on each floor is available from both ends.
