The building complex consists of two interlocking hexagonal structures, enclosed by corridors and ancillary rooms. Both buildings have the same footprint and are surrounded by a solid natural stone wall. Only the chapel, with its raised roof and continuous band of windows, achieves its appropriate dominant position. The foundation rests on individual and strip footings. The load-bearing structure comprises six single-span reinforced concrete frames, tapering from the eaves to the ridge and base, and connected at the ridge by a concrete hinge.
