Sports Hall in Concrete and Steel Construction
With 3,000 seats, it accommodates a total of 4,000 spectators. The roof is formed by four asymmetrical hyperbolic parabolic shells in a steel truss structure with suspended ceilings below; the entire space is column-free. Because the playing field level was lowered, spectators have direct access to their seats without ramps or stairs. The roof structure is supported by concrete beams. The hyperbolic parabolic shells embedded within these beams, closed off by deep concrete fascia boards, form an octagonal roof in plan, covered with copper sheeting.
