Holiday home complex near Caprino/Ticino. Architect Peppa Brivio, Lugano • A hillside site, situated approximately 140 metres above the lake, was divided into building plots averaging 950 square metres each, accessed partly from the main road and partly from a private road (see site plan). The two house types, which vary in floor plan, share the same layout: living room, kitchen with dining area, three additional rooms, terrace, and loggia. To accommodate the steep slope, the rooms are arranged in a staggered pattern, with half-levels. Access is from the upper level of each half-level. - Construction: Exposed concrete walls, untreated on the exterior, with plastered brickwork on the interior. Timber-framed roof covered with brown tiles.
