The grandstand in the hall is a reinforced concrete structure supported by six girders. Measuring 40 metres wide and 12 metres deep, it accommodates approximately 1,000 seats. Its hollow floor serves as an air chamber for supplying fresh air to all seats. While the upper floor shell is formed from folded concrete steps, a lightweight, prefabricated panel construction was chosen for the lower shell. Concrete ribs span this shell at intervals of approximately 1.15 metres, to which 19 mm thick Novopan panels are screwed from below. The underside of these panels is covered with a sound-absorbing Sillan panel.
