Production Hall in Schönenwerd/Switzerland
The main building was constructed using a steel frame, partially welded on-site. The lines, joints, and ratio of primary to secondary beams were designed according to aesthetic principles. The sawtooth windows are positioned in front of the beam plane, thus eliminating the need for heavy girders, end plates, gusset plates, etc. The span is 21 metres. All elements are visible. The Durisol roof and parapet panels could be installed without any modifications. Exterior walls are constructed of Leca panels, sawtooth roofs of corrugated fibre cement, and flat roofs of a gravel-bonded system. Sawtooth windows are made of wired glass.
