The new building for the Osnabrück State Engineering School was functionally divided into five sections. Section D, shown here, contains the laboratories for chipless forming, machining, electric motors, machine tools, power machines, and high-voltage technology. The ancillary buildings comprise the workshops for wood and metal, faculty offices, a collection room, and the associated technical rooms for heating and separate electrical power supply to the rooms and measuring stations. A sawtooth roof design was chosen to ensure even illumination with daylight.
