Community Centre in Stuttgart
The church is the undisputed dominant feature of the courtyard complex, which adopts the scale of the surrounding single-family homes. Positioned at the intersection of three streets, its unique character is clearly evident. The rough, exposed concrete exterior contrasts with the white plastered interior walls, which reflect the light entering the church through skylights. In addition to this indirect primary light source, which is also used in the foyers and the hall, the windows with direct daylight primarily serve to connect the church to the outside world.
