Entrance Covers

A canopy made of individual mushroom-shaped elements at a visitor entrance (with ticket booth) of the 1963 International Horticultural Exhibition in Hamburg. Architect: Dr.-Ing. Lange/Building Authority of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. Each of the seven mushroom-shaped elements is individually driven into the ground. They are connected to each other at the waistline. The surfaces of this entrance, erected only for the duration of the exhibition, are clad with Wideflex plywood. The front is fenced with Eternit sheet piling profiles, and the fence on the left is made of redwood.
