The design was based on the rather diverse requirements of the training institution, as is typical for such buildings. The existing site of the technical school offered a longitudinally oriented plot with a street frontage facing north. The decisive factor in the building's concept was the need for rooms with consistent northern light, primarily for art classes. The building can be extended lengthwise later if required. It was constructed using reinforced concrete with exposed concrete surfaces.
