Sandblasted Wooden Surfaces
The following images depict interior woodwork details where sandblasting was used for surface treatment. This work was carried out by the Viktar Fueg workshop in Fällanden, Switzerland. Sandblasting wood removes the softer earlywood, while the harder latewood is less affected and therefore remains raised. This creates a strong contrast in the wood's structure. In contrast to sanded wood, which has a cross-sectional appearance, sandblasted wood presents itself as a relief image.
