Office Buildings in Reinforced Concrete with Aluminium Exterior Walls

The building was to be erected opposite the old, now listed, society building (architects Hollweg and Bieber, 1910/13) near the English Garden, on a 4100 sq m plot. The three-storey, rectangular building, with a recessed ground floor on a two-storey base, was positioned with its long side perpendicular to the street at the southern edge of the site; the main facade of the old building, whose proportions were respected, thus remained unobstructed. A publicly accessible plaza on the north side provides a wide opening to a main entrance into the English Garden. The building, which encloses a 12 x 16 m courtyard, measures 50 x 34 m.
