The garden, located in the city centre, is also a popular destination for walkers. The challenge was to preserve the garden's highly differentiated scale through the construction of the new greenhouses. The greenhouse complex was therefore designed with a strong articulated structure, specifically integrating it with the undulating terrain of the wooded city moat hill. This undulating landscape is also reflected within the buildings of this entire area in the modelling of the planting areas, which feature considerable differences in elevation. The aim was to create fewer, more structured, yet spacious buildings, connected by a circular walkway, by grouping plants with similar climatic requirements.
