For 15 years, the painter had spent his summers in an old watermill, nestled between the stream and the millrace. As the family grew, more space was needed. The core of the old building and the surrounding area were to be preserved. The following solution was chosen: The new rooms, divided into two units for optimal overall proportions, are situated above the original core structure, resting on a concrete slab supported by three pillars.
