Exterior Walls Made of Precast Concrete Elements

Pan American High-Rise, New York. Architects: Prof. Walter Gropius and colleagues, Cambridge, Massachusetts. The 246-metre-tall tower has 59 floors with a total floor area of 223,100 square metres. It was built in one of the world's busiest locations, directly above the railway tracks of Grand Central Terminal. Three subway lines converge beneath it, and these, along with the station complex, are connected to the building's ground floor by escalators.
