Wooden Ceiling in the Christ the King Church

Ceiling Construction: The ceiling was designed to span the planned church interior without gaps. A wooden ceiling was to be added to the greywacke walls. The columns rest on the masonry beams, and their spacing forms the structural grid. The spatial framework consists of bottom chords, diagonals, and top chords made of solid 12/12 cm fir. Connections are made of frame sections with welded steel plates, which are attached to the timbers by beams.
