The Fräkmüntegg Pilatus mountain chapel can accommodate approximately 250 people, 80 of whom can sit on benches. Visitors include residents of the alpine pasture and many tourists who frequent the popular Pilatus hiking area. The building is constructed of local limestone and insulated with polystyrene panels. The concrete aggregate was quarried on-site from the same limestone, as transporting it would have significantly increased the material costs. The timber was felled in the immediate vicinity and sawn to size on site.
