Detached House with Inner Courtyard
The house was to be built on a narrow plot of land, visible from taller neighboring buildings (see floor plan, p. 131). It was screened from view. Between the living and sleeping areas, housed in two separate structures, are a garden courtyard and a water courtyard, as well as the fireplace room, which also serves as a transitional space. With the sliding doors open, this room can be connected to the rooms by the inner courtyards (radiators are recessed into the floor near the glass walls).
