Administration Building of Siemens AG in Milan
The entire company complex, including factory buildings and administration offices, was to be accommodated on a triangular plot of land bordered on all sides by roads (see site plan). One of the aims was to clearly distinguish the office building from the production and storage buildings in its structural design and external appearance. It was positioned in the most prominent location on the site. While the proportions and structure of the production buildings were primarily determined by production processes, the administration building was intended to be characterized by the direct, personal work to be carried out within it.
