Except for the foundations, the building is constructed entirely of wood. The main supporting structure, shaped like a tent roof, is made of glued laminated timber; two of the gable walls were opened up and fitted with double glazing. The third wall (altar wall) is clad with chipboard on the inside and sheathed on the outside. The roof is double-layered with natural-coloured asbestos cement sheets laid in a shingle pattern, sheathed on the underside. Prefabricated components were used extensively, resulting in a construction time of only five months.
