The demands placed on employees in their professional and private lives are increasing. As a result, employers are facing growing pressure to offer programs that enable employees to better reconcile their work and private lives. BASF took a further step in this direction with the opening of "LuMit"—the employee centre for work-life management. At the company's Ludwigshafen site, a modern building complex was constructed in cooperation between LUWOGE consult and sander.hofrichter architects. This complex consolidates and expands the services offered by the BASF Foundation in the areas of work and family, sports and health promotion, and social counseling, all under one roof. Furthermore, the construction project provided an opportunity to implement products from the company's portfolio and evaluate their effectiveness through a long-term monitoring process.
