School Building Wankdorffeld in Bern
The lower images show the entrance side of the building, while the upper image depicts the south side, specifically a section of a bridge leading to the first floor. - Entrance front (north facade): The reinforced concrete stairwell is box-like, mounted on the steel structure on the ground floor; vertical sliding formwork was used. The U-shaped, light-opening concrete elements were prefabricated and fitted with clear, 30 x 30 cm glass blocks embedded in mortar (intermediate insulation in the mortar joint); the elements were inserted into the wall recesses, grouted, and sealed.
