Walls in Ceramic Work
Clay relief in the ground floor hall of the nurses' high-rise building at the Cantonal Hospital in Zurich. Architect: Jakob Zweifel, Zurich. Ceramic work by Johonna Küenzli. The open ceramic pieces are set as a wide horizontal band in front of the plastered wall, which forms the background of the ceramic forms. The faces of these forms are left in clay, while their sides are glazed in colour.
