The main facade of the warehouse building was designed to prevent direct sunlight. To this end, the window walls, constructed of glass blocks, were fitted with blinds. On the lower floors, these blinds were made of coated asbestos cement panels, which allow more light in when positioned vertically than horizontally. On the upper floors (structural floors), the blinds were constructed as concrete boxes (38 x 38 x 25 cm, 40 mm thick) because the larger window areas allowed for this design.
