The Freudenberg Cantonal School in Zurich comprises a grammar school and a commercial school with a total of 55 general and other specialized classrooms and other rooms for approximately 1,400 students. It was built in a central location on a roughly 50,000 m² area of mature, wooded hillside. The cubic structure results from the division into the two school wings, the basement for special and general classrooms, and the assembly hall, while striving to preserve the park-like hillside setting.
