Canopies

1. Covered walkway and forecourt canopy at the gymnasium wing of the Zurich-Neubühl school. Architect: Prof. Custer, Zurich. The walkway canopy connects the main building with the gymnasium's ancillary rooms, which are located at the same level as the main building's basement. The concrete slab of the gymnasium ceiling also forms the forecourt canopy (see drawings). 2. Canopy at the entrance of an apartment building in Zurich. Architect: Balz Koenig, Zurich. Constructed with an iron frame and light metal cladding; the underside is made of wood. Fluorescent tubes are fitted on two sides, covered with frosted glass.
