Exterior Glass Doors
1. Connecting door of a shop. Architect Rolf Rhyner, Zurich. Design: Tempered glass panel etched in three shades with varying degrees of transparency. Baseboard, handles, and diagonal bracing made of solid square aluminium profile, screwed together, anodized, natural colour. The swing door has an automatic braking device (stop plate) recessed into the floor to return the door to its normal position without excessive swinging. The diagonal braces protect the glass from impacts (transport of heavy goods).
