Floors in Stone Material
All heavily used floors in the home were finished in stone, cast stone, or terrazzo: 1. Terrazzo floor in an anteroom. Construction: prefabricated square tiles with larger pebbles embedded in an ornamental pattern. 2. Terrazzo floor in the youth rooms on the upper floor. Construction: prefabricated blue-tinted tiles. The sun and moon motif is cut from white marble and set into the still-soft mixture. 3. Floor in the main entrance hall. Construction: cast stone tiles with ornamentally inlaid dot-patterned tiles in a contrasting colour (domino pattern).
