The facades of the building shown here, which encompasses a total enclosed volume of 12,300 cubic metres, are structurally defined by the prefabricated window and sill units. - Facades: Reinforced concrete frame in rough formwork, painted with light emulsion paint. Infill with 30 cm thick masonry, smoothly plastered and finished with dark, tinted mosaic plaster. Gable ends: Unplastered sand-lime brickwork, painted with light emulsion paint. - Window elements: Continuous, glued wooden frame for tilt-and-turn sashes and sills. Aluminium louvered blinds serve as sun protection, normally internal, but rotatable outwards for increased sun protection.
